Machinery & Equipment Set Up

Planning and preparation: This involves reviewing blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine the layout and placement of the machinery and equipment. 

Equipment inspection: The millwright inspects the machinery and equipment to ensure it is in good condition and suitable for installation. 

Site preparation: The installation area is prepared by cleaning, leveling, and securing the surface where the machinery and equipment will be installed. 

Lifting and positioning: Millwrights use cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment to position and secure the machinery and equipment in place. 

Aligning and leveling: The machinery and equipment is aligned and leveled to ensure proper functioning and safety. 

Connecting utilities: The millwright connects electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to the machinery and equipment. 

Testing and commissioning: The machinery and equipment is tested to ensure it meets operating specifications and all safety requirements. 

Training: The millwright provides training to the operator on the safe and proper operation of the machinery and equipment.
